About the artists: DJ Rekha is a London-born musician, DJ producer, curator, and activist. She has been credited with pioneering Bhangra music in North America.  Her first album DJ Rekha Presents Basement Bhangra released in October 2007 on Koch Records fuses the Indian genre of Bhangra music with international hip-hop and drum beats. CHiKA is a Japanese-born New York-based artist and an improvisational visual artist in the underground experimental audiovisual scene in New York. Her work creates what she describes as the symphony of light.  Creating minimalist geometric light and sound in the dark space are ultimately an optical performance that experiments with improvisational communication and immediate engagement with the audience in real time.

About the art: COSMOS: Total Universe is a collaboration between DJ Rekha and CHiKA, a southern and eastern Asian duo. DJ Rekha mixes Basement Bhangra: south Asian Bhangra music with hip-hop, dancehall and electronic sounds to create an unforgettable New York City dance experience. CHiKA mixes EN, Relationship: minimalistic geometric visual, particles and abstract images. COSMOS unites all artists and public guests in one place, the Space Cloud, to celebrate at the end of each night of the PASEO 2018 festival, 10-11:30pm in the Space Cloud.
