AudioPixel is a collaboration between software developers, artists, and dreamers from Colorado. Over the past five years, AudioPixel has developed large-scale interactive art installations, Burning Man experiences, and immersive festival stages. With the recently released the open-source platform PixelMixer, AudioPixel hopes to share programming techniques with other artists working with light and interactivity on the web.

About the artist: AudioPixel is a small team of Colorado-based artists and creative professionals that specialize in lighting, software development, and interactive media. For over nine years, they have developed a custom software platform used in a wide range of live artistic expressions. AudioPixel’s goal is to break out of standard “rectangles” and into multiple dimensions to immerse participants in volumetric light. Through interactive public art installations, mutant vehicles, Burning Man projects, and festival stages, AudioPixel’s unique software techniques foster immediacy and play for all ages.
