PROJECTS

  • Residencies

The Artist in Residence Program brings artists from all over the world to Taos to work with our community on a public art project. The program is an opportunity for working artists to activate their projects within the community of Taos, while exposing our community to new technologies, processes, and ideas.

  • The PASEO Festival

Since 2014 The PASEO Festival has brought projection, performance, and installation art to the streets of Taos every fall. Featuring regional, national, and international artists, The PASEO is an annual, free outdoor event that takes over the streets of the historic district.

  • Public Art

Bringing art to the street, the public sculpture and crosswalk mural project hosts local artists and creatives for seasonal installation of our existing crosswalks and public spaces within the historic district. These public art projects brings liveliness and color to our streets while showing investment and pride in our local art scene.

  • Education

The Paseo Project works with community partners to provide educational programming year round, exposing our youth to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) in the classroom – enhanced through the creative processes of local and visiting Paseo artists.

  • Community Arts Grants

This micro grant program supports local galleries, organizations, and artists in projects and programs that enrich our community while giving back in the form of engagement, education, and exhibition. Community Arts Grant proposals are accepted year round and funded based on need, relevancy to the Paseo Project mission, and strength of proposal.

  • The HUB

The home of the Paseo Project, this shared office space offers discounted desk rentals and conference room space for the greater community. A dynamic networking center for local nonprofits, writers, entrepreneurs, and creatives of all types, the HUB hopes to host events and happenings soon.

  • The Spring Out

The Spring Out is an annual event celebrating local art and community, and the liveliness that accompanies emerging from hibernation come springtime. Taking place during the Taos Spring Arts events, The Spring Out takes art outside the walls of our museums and into the streets of Taos.

  • Annex Windows

The Annex Window Series is a year round rotating exhibit of local artist installations in vacant building storefronts. On the heels of the successful collaboration with Windows on the Future, The Paseo Project is excited to partner with the Town of Taos in bringing art to the streets.

This multi-year collaborative project gives voice to the acequias, the history and the culture while also exploring opportunities for new community engagement, education, and generational involvement.

  • 2020 Census
