“Dome Poems” | Sound and Light Installation

Dome Poems: Memory and Emergence, is a 20-minute immersive film that will commemorate the State of New Mexico with poetic and photographic reflections on the past 100 years of culture and regional identity in the Indo-Hispano communities of northern New Mexico. This collaborative effort between New Mexico State Centennial Poet Levi Romero, photographer and filmmaker Miguel Gandert, immersive media artist Hue Walker and the dirctor of ARTS Digital Media Lab, Tim B. Castilo, All New Mexican artists, will create a work that reflects on the past while also looking to the future: It will be presented in fulldome theaters in New Mexico as well as in plazas and community gathering spaces across the state.

The project is funded by the National Endowment of the Arts and the New Mexico Arts Program.

This installation was a featured Off-PASEO installation located at the Hulse-Worman Gallery.
