“Moonlight” | Sound and Light Installation
This ‘Off-PASEO” installation creates ‘moonlight’ by artificial means (30 led lighting instruments covered by theatrical gel and flagged with scrim material for shadow effects). Shining from under the portal of Taos Artist Collective (106A Paseo del Pueblo Norte) upon the sidewalk for the people to walk through. This is a directional Moonlight Simulation.
Artist Statement: I am intrigued by the magic of moonlight. I once saw a rainbow ("moonbow") created by the moon shining on a thunderstorm. I once created a piece for Dancer Lane Lucas in the experimental theater at UNM Main Campus using this moon point of view lighting.
