“Contact” | Interactive Light Sculpture

Interactive work where the visitor has the opportunity to control light and sound with the movement of the hands. Through a sensor, lights are modulated in sync with real-time generated sound effects creating an immersive environment and a unique experience to the public. Based on the advance of Artificial Intelligence, the artist proposes to the public an experience simulating the first contact with an unintelligent language stimulating the communication between man and machine through gestures with immediate responses from both sides. An allusion to operating systems increasingly inserted in our daily lives.

About the artist: Brazilian multimedia artist with works that large-scale projections, light installations, 360o projections and live performance, his projects in public art organic esthetics working the immersion of the viewer as starting point to unique experiences.

The artist began his research in multimedia performances at the university in 2003. In July 2012, champion of the international tournament of VJs, Videozone held in Poland. Conquered the 1st place in 4 editions of the competition VJ TORNA International, held in Mexico, Italy, South Africa and Turkey. Recently it was awarded in the category "video mapping modern "at the Circle of Light Moscow festival in Russia. It is dedicated to projects of mapping, audiovisual performances and light sculptures.

In its trajectory it counts on presentations in festivals like Amsterdam Light Festival - Amsterdam (Netherlands), SP Urban Digital Festival - São Paulo (Brazil), Circle of Light Moscow (Russia), Athens Digital Art Festival - Athens (Greece), SAT Festival Montreal, Sónar Festival de Barcelona (Spain) and Mutek Buenos Aires (Argentina).
