“The Curious” | Interactive Installation

The Curious is an immersive light art installation that transforms architectural space into a living, breathing canvas of sound and color. Comprising audio-reactive LED bars arranged in a site-specific geometric formation, the installation responds dynamically to layered soundscapes, creating an ever-evolving, interactive experience for visitors.

For PASEO 2025, The Curious will be installed within the portal of the Taos County Historic Courthouse, integrating seamlessly into the architecture even as the building undergoes renovation. The piece employs chromosaturation, flooding the space with intense, blended hues that shift and pulse in harmony with sound. Rapid cycles of light patterns guide the sculpture through an entrancing, hypnotic dance, drawing viewers into a heightened sensory experience.

Adaptable and modular by design, The Curious has been exhibited at renowned venues including Superblue Miami, the Royal College of Art in London, Immerse Festival in Orlando, and Aurora Public Art’s Lumenaura in Illinois. A permanent installation also resides at the MAD Arts Museum in Miami. Each iteration of The Curious is re-imagined for its specific location, allowing for unique interpretations and levels of interaction.
