The PASEO Biennial 2027
Call for Artists

THE CALL is OPEN

The PASEO returns to the streets of Taos on September 17 and 18, 2027—now as a biennial festival with more time to support ambitious ideas, deepen community partnerships, and develop extraordinary public art experiences.

PASEO 2027 Biennial celebrates, creativity and collective spirit of a community coming together through the 2027 theme of Convergence.

Convergence is movement toward connection. It exists in the dynamic space between individuality and collectivity, where difference, contradiction, and multiplicity coexist. Rivers converge without abandoning their sources. Cultures converge while carrying memory forward. Technologies converge with human behavior, reshaping perception, communication, and meaning itself. Through connection, exchange, and encounter, new relationships emerge while differences remain intact.

Convergence is about relationships. It asks what becomes possible when we engage one another fully—across disciplines, cultures, communities, species, and ways of knowing. Convergence can manifest as both collision and communion, generating friction, harmony, uncertainty, and opportunity simultaneously.

Convergence dissolves traditional boundaries between artist and audience, positioning contemporary art as a catalyst for public engagement, belonging, and transformation. The PASEO 2027 Biennial celebrates art’s power to strengthen community, spark dialogue, and connect diverse histories with shared futures.

Through immersive installations, collaborative performances, and interactive experiences, PASEO 2027 Biennial will activate the heart of Taos historic downtown on September 17th and 18th 2027. The festival will create opportunities for shared experiences, cross-cultural dialogue, and meaningful connection across generations.

The open call for PASEO 2027 is now open. We invite artists working across disciplines to propose immersive installations, performances, and interactive experiences that activate Taos’s historic downtown and explore connection, exchange, and collective transformation.

Meet us at the point of CONVERGENCE.
