“Landscape Re-Invention Society” | Site specific performance

A mobile spectacle that intervenes any space with a physical theater language on stilts. Silent figures move through the streets, plazas, passageways and corners of any space. Their bodies explore the details of each particular space and re-invent it. For The Paseo performance three characters, two stilters and a dancer on ground, will be creating ecstatic images that can go from heartbreaking to hopeful. A small society that is open to a dialogue with whoever is there, a poetic visual dialogue in which reflection and silence acquire a different value than usual in a performance. The unity of color and movement are part of the language of this Landscape Re-Invention Society, which passes by like a flock of birds. This is a site specific performance that will be created by the cast previous to the intervention and it will be based on their first visit to Taos and to the Space Cloud installation where they will the draw in space with their bodies and props.

The hourly 10-15 minute performance intervention will take place in the inner courtyard of the Space Cloud. Performers will move through Kit Carson Park and down Civic Plaza Drive and then return to the Space Cloud courtyard.
