New Mural Proposed with Questa Creative Council
Call for Interest: Summer 2026 Questa Mural
The Paseo Project × 100% Taos Community × Questa Creative Council
The Paseo Project and 100% Taos County Initiative are teaming up for our third collaborative mural—this time in partnership with Questa Creative Council for a new public artwork in Questa, New Mexico, slated for Summer 2026. We’re beginning with a broad call for interest from mural artists who would like to be considered for this project. This is not a full proposal stage yet—we’re simply gathering portfolios and learning about interested artists so we can build a strong shortlist.
If you’re a muralist (or a team) with experience in public art and community-centered practice, we’d love to hear from you.
How to Express Interest (by Sunday, November 9, 2025 at 11:59 PM MT.)

What This Is (and isn’t)
This is a Request for Interest (RFI) to identify artists for a shortlist.
We are not seeking finished designs at this time.
Shortlisted artists will be contacted with full site details, scope, budget, timeline, and a request for proposals (with an honorarium).
Selection Approach
Submissions will be reviewed by a community-based jury composed of representatives from The Paseo Project, 100% Taos County Initiative, and the Questa Creative Council, along with local artists and community members from Northern New Mexico. The review panel will consider:
Artistic quality and originality
Feasibility at mural scale, including durability and materials
Experience with public art or community-engaged projects
Sensitivity to place, reflecting the people, culture, and landscape of Questa and Taos County
We value proposals that emphasize collaboration, storytelling, and connection to community. Artists local to Northern New Mexico and those from historically underrepresented communities are especially encouraged to express interest.
All submissions and questions and be directed to: paseo@paseoproject.org.
Deadline: Sunday, November 9, 2025 at 11:59 PM MT.
